Dawn Hollyoak, 61, was a star on The Great British Bake Off. She died suddenly and tragically.

Dawn was in the popular baking show in 2022. Her family confirmed that she died with her family by her side.

Six bakers left the tent, and the sixth was the “wonderfully talented” grandmother.

Her family broke the sad news of her death by writing, “It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of our star baker Dawn.”

“Not only a very good baker, but also a wonderful mother, grandmother, wife, and friend.”

“Dawn died peacefully with her family around her.” We’ll miss her forever, but we promise to keep baking in her honor.

Friends and family did not say when or how the grandmother died.

People are now paying tribute to Dawn, who has been called a “lovely lady.”

One of the judges on the show, Paul Hollywood, sent his condolences.

He added: “I’m so sorry to hear that, send my love to the family a lovely lady x.”

The judges really liked Dawn’s baked goods before she was kicked off during Halloween Week on episode 6.

The grandmother left the tent saying that the show was “the most amazing experience.”

Another contestant, Carole Edwards, also said nice things about Dawn.

“I will miss my friend so much. She is a beautiful and talented woman on the inside and out. Fly high, friend. Life won’t be the same without you.” All my love goes out to your family. This is Xx.”

Another contestant, George Aristidou, said, “We never got to make those koupes Dawn.”

“I am heartbroken to hear this terrible news. Peace be with your family and friends during this sad time.

The 2021 winner, Giuseppe Dell’Anno, said, “This is terrible news.”

“Even though I only met Dawn once, her happy personality and smile made me feel great.”

“She will be sorely missed, but will live in the heart of those who loved her forever.”

TGBBO showed a profile of Dawn when she was competing.

The ad said she was the oldest of three children, a mother of three, a stepmother of two, and a grandmother or stepgrandmother of four.

“Dawn calls herself an artist in and out of the kitchen. She loves the challenge of an illusion cake (the more impossible-sounding, the better), preferring wacky and intricate designs that let her show off her artistic skills,” the post said.
