When a mother picks up her child from daycare, she takes a snapshot of a “rude” notice on the door, which quickly goes viral.

Technology does, without a doubt, make our lives easier, but do we overuse it?

Yes, I would say. We often let our smartphones and laptops to consume a significant amount of our time without even realizing it.

Instead, we can spend time with our children and those we care about.

And, as much as we preach about keeping our children away from screens as much as possible, it appears that we don’t follow our own advise.

When the proprietor of a daycare center in Hockley, Texas, saw parents on their phones while picking up their children from the center, he decided to tell them how he felt.

What exactly did he do? He hung a sign on the front door of the daycare center.

Juliana Farris Mazurkiewicz, one of the mothers, snapped a photo of the placard and posted it online.

She expected people to respond to it, but she didn’t expect it to make such a sensation.

While some individuals agree with what was stated on the piece of paper, others argue that the owner had no right to advise parents what they should do or how to raise their children.

The message on the sign was:

‘” You’re going to pick up your child! TURN OFF YOUR TELEPHONE!!!

Your kid is overjoyed to meet you! Are you disappointed to see your child? We’ve witnessed children attempting to present their completed work to their parents while the adult is on the phone.

‘We’ve heard a toddler say, ‘Mommy, mommy, mommy…,’ and the parent is more focused on their phone than on their child.’ It’s a disgrace. “Stop talking on your phone!!”

Juliana stated that she absolutely agreed with the owner’s viewpoint and admitted that she was distracted by her phone when she came across the sign, which made her realize how true those words sounded.

‘” I was surprised, but I had no negative feelings toward the childcare.

I’m confident that the staff is concerned about the children’s best interests, even if it means offending the parents.”

The sign, on the other hand, irritated some parents.

‘This is ludicrous.’ Who are we to advise a parent not to use their phone when their child is present? Is it possible that they are employed? Or if you have an emergency or something else that isn’t their concern.”

Whatever your opinions are on the subject, one thing is certain. We should make every effort to spend as much time as possible with our children because they grow up so quickly. Don’t you think that we should set technology aside and enjoy the present?
