What a tragedy. With heavy hearts, we announce the passing

The death of an Instagram influencer from a blood clot after liposuction came unexpectedly.

Elena Larrea, 30, died on Tuesday from a pulmonary embolism. She had surgery just a few days before.

On social media, Elena’s family confirmed that she died of a pulmonary thrombosis, which is when a blood clot moves from the legs to the lungs.

It’s still not clear what caused the blood clot to form, but it is thought that she died after liposuction.

The powerful person was known for her work to protect animals. Seven years ago, she opened the Cuacolandia horse sanctuary.

Horses, donkeys, mules, and other animals that had been abused or left behind were saved by her.

Elena worked with the lawmakers in her state to make bestiality a crime.

The celebrity even worked with OnlyFans to keep the shelter in Atlixco, southeast of Mexico City, from going out of business.

She said at the time that she was having money problems because of the COVID-19 pandemic and that she was using the adult platform to keep the sanctuary from closing.

Elena said, “I was already thinking about sending the horses to new homes and closing the sanctuary.”

“My friends told me, ‘You should open an OnlyFans. What if it works out?'”

“I told myself, ‘Look, I’m going to open one and see if it hits.'”

The venture worked out, and the influencer was able to save the sanctuary from doom with the money he or she made.

As of now, Cuacolandia is home to almost 50 animals and has saved 312 horses from being abused or left behind.

Sergio Salomon, the governor of the state, wrote a touching tribute to the activist who died and talked about how much of an impact her work had.

During his speech, he said, “I deeply regret the death of Elena Larrea. She was a tireless advocate for animal welfare.”

“The fact that she saved thousands of abused horses is proof of her life and work.

“On behalf of the government of Puebla, we want her family and friends to know that we are with them.

“The Ministry of the Environment can guarantee that the animals at Cuacolandia will be safe.”

“We will give the authorities all the help they need to take care of other horses in addition to the ones they have already rescued, always putting their well-being first.”

“We’ll do what you did.” Elena, please rest in peace.

Elena said before she died, “I have loved horses so much my whole life. I have been riding them since I was a little girl.”

“As an adult, I had the chance to repay the horses for all they had done for me, so I chose to open the Cuacolandia sanctuary.”

No information is available on whether the police are looking into how she died.
