We will miss him so much

At the age of 89, longtime soap opera actor Nicolas Coster passed away on June 26, 2023. The actor Nicolas Coster passed away in Florida at 9:01 p.m. in the hospital, his daughter Dinneen Coster wrote on Facebook. “There is great sadness in my heart this evening,” she wrote. He was a true actor’s actor, therefore please be inspired by his creative accomplishments.

A long career in theater, film, and television was had by Coster. He is most remembered for his portrayal of Lionel Lockridge in the soap opera “Santa Barbara.” Before that series, he played Robert Delaney on “Another World” and briefly appeared on “One Live to Live.” Coster, who was born in 1933, began performing in his adolescence while attending the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. Along with Robert Redford in “All the President’s Men,” Elizabeth Taylor co-starred on Broadway in Coster’s “All the President’s Men.”

At the time, no explanation for Coster’s passing was provided. His two children, Dinnean and Candace Coster, are left behind.

For “Santa Barbara,” Coster won his first Emmy in 1986 for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. He later added three more wins for the program. He received an Emmy in 2017 for the drama series “The Bay.” When asked about how he got his start in acting, Coster revealed in a 2021 interview that he was persuaded to enter a speech contest after he vehemently defended a student who was being tormented in high school. “I won everything, and that got me going. After watching a movie about the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, I asked my mother to let me leave urgently. Thus, I went.

Coster’s acting talent clearly propelled him far in his career, and he will be sorely missed.
