TRAGIC LOSS. Famous Child Star passed away today

At age 46, CHILD star Benji Gregory was discovered dead in his car.

Greg Gregory was best known for playing Brian Tanner on the hit TV show Alf.

TMZ reported that his sister Rebecca said he was discovered dead in his car at a Chase Bank in Peoria, Arizona.

She told TMZ that, “their family is grieving a great loss and appreciate everyone’s thoughts and kind words.”

A cause of death has not been confirmed, but people who knew Gregory well think that he went to deposit a check and passed out in his car, where he died of heat stroke.

Hans, Gregory’s service dog, died in the car with him.

The life of Benji as a child star
Benji Gregory was born in a suburb of Los Angeles, California, on May 26, 1978.

As a child in the 1980s, he started working in TV shows like The A-Team, T.J. Hooker, Punky Brewster, The Twilight Zone, and Steven Spielberg’s Amazing Stories.

This actor played Alf from 1986 to 1990.

Apparently, Benji liked dogs.
Benji’s Instagram bio said, “Lover of dogs, traveling, late-night runs, music, podcasts, Navy, bipolar, major depression disorder, GAD, ALF, VR, Nike, Cinema 4D, Creative Cloud.”

A lot of the time, he also wrote about Hans, his service dog.

Rebecca, Benji’s sister, asked people to honor him by giving money to The Actors Equity Foundation or the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).

Others said, “Thoughts and prayers are with your family.”

In 2003, he decided to join the US Navy instead of continuing to act as an adult.

Two years later, Benji was freed with an honorable medical discharge.
