Ashley Smith is 26 years old and lives in Columbus, Georgia. She was amazed when she found an incredible piece of the past in her mouth. This is exactly what that means.
The San Francisco Globe tells how she was shot 11 years ago while spending time with her friends when she was still a teenager. One of the people she was talking to had a rifle, one thing led to another, and the girl was accidentally shot in the face.
Here is what she explains: “We were all talking and a guy who lived down the same street had a gun he had taken from his uncle and was in the kitchen, he was playing with it. He pulled the trigger, he thought he had no bullets, but he was wrong. When the bullet hit me, it bounced, it hit the top of my skull, it went along my face and here it stopped, in the middle of my jaw ”.
The girl has suffered several complications, but she knows she is lucky to be alive.
11 years later, Smith felt an object in his mouth that seemed blocked. When she managed to get it out and spit it out, she thought it was a piece of popcorn, but it turned out to be something different. It looks like the object dislocated from the jaw, it was actually a piece of the bullet!
Here’s what she’d kept in her for so long:
