Following their divorce, fans started making assumptions about what went wrong between the TLC star and the BBW King. According to the U.S. Sun, fans thought that the couple wasn’t genuinely dating and that Phillip was taking advantage of her fame. Her supporters encouraged her to focus more on her needs than her love relationships, so they were happy when she broke up with him.

The remarks made by the mother of Phillip’s children bolstered the claims that the link wasn’t real. She said to TvShowsAce that the BBW King was the one who told Phillip to “leave his family” in order to pursue a relationship that was “strictly” for TikTok and discarded Slaton. She continued by saying that Slaton insisted on continually getting in touch with Phillip. The TLC actress eventually met her real love, despite all of the turbulence from previous relationships.
