Star watched her kids cry for her as she was taken away in ambulance before death at 36

A BEAUTY influencer with two kids died of cancer after being given the wrong diagnosis for months.

YouTuber Jessica Pettway, who was 36 years old, told heartbreaking stories about how her illness affected her husband and young children before she died.

According to an Instagram post seen by E! News, Pettway’s sister Reyni Brown confirmed on Friday that her sister had died on March 11. She also said that her “heart had never felt pain like this.”

Brown said Pettway’s advice made her sister a better mother and called her amazing, strong, and sure of herself.

“Life will never be the same without her crazy laugh, pranks, or jokes,” Brown said.

“Losing a sibling makes me feel like a link between us was cut off.” I love you very much.”

Pettway gained hundreds of thousands of followers on several social media sites for her posts about hair, fashion, and beauty.

The California-based influencer posted pictures of her husband and their two daughters all the time. The girls also had a lot of fans of their own.

But over the past few years, Pettway’s posting schedule has become less regular, and fans have noticed that she won’t post anything on Instagram for months at a time.

Many of her followers left comments on her posts, asking if she was okay and if her kids were okay.

“Hey, girl!” Just letting you know. “I hope everything is okay,” a fan wrote almost a year ago.

“Hope all is well with you, I thought of you today,” wrote another fan.

DIAGNOSIS OF SHOCK
In July 2023, Pettway said that she had been told she had stage 3 cancer, a year after she almost died from bleeding.

She wrote in last year’s post that her husband found her passed out from “intense vaginal bleeding” in July 2022 and took her to the hospital.

The doctor told her that the bleeding was caused by fibroids, which are firm growths that can happen on the uterus wall.

Treatments stopped the bleeding, but Pettway was still very weak and in a lot of pain that she said was like giving birth.

“I accepted this as a ‘normal’ symptom that most women go through,” she told me.

Pettway tried to have surgery on her fibroids in January of the next year, but she couldn’t because she wasn’t getting enough blood.

During her stay, she had several blood transfusions, and the doctor told her she should see an oncologist.

She had a biopsy in February and learned that she had stage 3 cervical cancer.

Fans were furious about the news and wondered if Pettway’s caretakers weren’t taking her seriously, even though she was so close to dying.

Pettway, on the other hand, said she had faith in the future and that it grew stronger as care began.

THINKING OF JESSICA
A few days after talking about her health, Pettway told more scary stories about how her problems had hurt her family.

She wrote under an Instagram picture of her family smiling, “The girls are too young to understand, but they saw the changes.”

The girls that lived with Pettway would ask her husband, “When is mommy coming home?” And, “How come mommy keeps going in the ambulance truck?” During her difficult treatments, she said.

“Being wheeled into the ambulance and waving bye to my kids, only to see them crying for their mommy to stay home, broke me,” she said in the caption.

“And watching my husband break down in tears, was rough.”

To end on a positive note, Pettway said that she and her husband were supporting each other through it all.

“The blessing we’ve been waiting for will blow our minds,” she wrote in the post that broke our hearts.

Later that same day, Pettway, who lived in Los Angeles, said she was moving back to Georgia to be with her family.

It was just what she needed, she wrote.

In her Instagram history, this was the last post she made.

Her obituary says that Pettway died at a hospice in Griffin, Georgia, which is an hour south of Atlanta.
