93-year-old JAMES Earl Jones has died.
He was famous for his parts in The Lion King, Field of Dreams, Star Wars, and other movies. He died early Monday morning at his home in New York.
According to Deadline, more information about his death was not available right away.
After the legend died, fans said nice things about him on social media.
James was best known for his parts in How the West Was Won and The Lion King. He also did the voice of Darth Vader.

Fans were quick to send their condolences and their favorite movie scenes with James on Day X.
“May James Earl Jones rest in peace. “One of the most powerful, moving, and evocative voices in movie history,” wrote one.
Someone else said, “RIP to the GOAT, James Earl Jones.”
“The effect James Earl Jones had on Star Wars cannot be overstated,” said a third.

His Star Wars co-star Mark Hamill talked about how he felt about James’ death on X.
He wrote, “#RIP dad,” along with an emoji of a broken heart, from an article that confirmed his death.
George Lucas, who made Star Wars, also shared a touching tribute.
“In both art and spirit, James was a most unique voice,” the director said in a statement.

“For almost fifty years, he was Darth Vader, but the truth is that he was a beautiful person.” He made every role he played more real and meaningful. Being a loving husband to Ceci and father to Flynn were two of the most important ones to him.
George said, “James will be missed by so many of us, friends and fans alike.”
THE LEGENDARY CAREER OF JAMES
James made a name for himself as one of the best Black actors of his time.
He worked in many different roles over the course of more than 60 years.
The performer got his start on Broadway in 1958 at the Cort Theatre, which in 2022 was changed to the James Earl Jones Theatre.
His last movie role was in Coming 2 America, which came out in 2021.
He played King Jaffe Joffer again, the part he played in Eddie Murphy’s 1988 movie Coming to America.
Between his first and last roles, James played well-known characters that fans will never forget.
He gave Darth Vader’s voice in Star Wars and King Mufasa’s in The Lion King, an animated Disney movie.
For three Jack Ryan movies in the 1990s, James played CIA deputy director Vice Admiral James Greer. He was also in The Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games, and Clear and Present Danger.

James has also played a B-52 bombardier in Dr. Strangelove, the first Black president in The Man, a scary bad guy in Conan the Barbarian, an author in Field of Dreams, and a blind former baseball player in The Sandlot, all of which are well-known roles.
The actor was up for four Tony Awards and won two. The first was in 1969 for his role as Jack Johnson in The Great White Hope, and the second was in 1987 for his role as Troy Maxson in Fences.
He was up for eight Primetime Emmys and won two, in 1991, for his role as a supporting actor in Heatwave and as the lead actor in a drama series for Gabriel’s Fire.
It was 2002 when James won a Kennedy Center Honor. In 2011, he won an honorary Oscar, and in 2017, he won a Lifetime Achievement Tony Award.
In 1977, he won a Grammy for an album of spoken word.
The late star is one of only a few actors to have won an EGOT.
James had also been in a number of TV shows.
Roots, The Atlanta Child Murders, and recurring roles on LA Law, Homicide: Life on the Street, and Everwood were some of the shows he was in.
Among other shows, he was a guest star on The Simpsons, Picket Fences, Law & Order, Fraiser, and House.
