The Prince of Wales, who will soon be King of England, was one of the most famous people at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTAs). He looked sad as he talked about the health of his wife.
Kate Middleton, Prince William’s wife of 13 years, recently had surgery on her abdomen at The London Clinic for reasons that were not made public. Neither would Lady Diana Spencer’s son.
Usually, it wouldn’t be a problem because the Royal Family keeps health matters very private. But King Charles III was very open about having surgery on his prostate and then being diagnosed with a different cancer.
Prince William was asked how many movies he has seen. “I’ve seen less than ever,” he said. “Things have been a little… with my wife.” I hope we can catch up, though, and I’ll make my list tonight.
Why is everyone so quiet?
Middleton may not want everyone to know about her private life, which is a reasonable request from most people. However, this hasn’t stopped rumors and questions from flying around…
Many people want to know why the ex-Duchess of Cambridge is keeping her health so secret when the King is so open with the whole country about it.
So far, all we know is that it’s not cancer, which was made very clear by Kensington Palace. Still, a lot of people think it might be Crohn’s disease, a hysterectomy, or surgery to fix severe acid reflux caused by having three children in the last ten years.
No matter what happened, it knocked the future Queen off her feet. She needed her whole immediate family to support her and take care of her three children, George, Charlotte, and Louis.
That included her husband, who took a short break from his official royal duties. Middleton, on the other hand, is set to return to hers after Easter, once she is fully recovered.
