According to sources, Jamie Foxx was taken to the hospital in critical condition on Tuesday after an unnamed incident.
The family of the Django Unchained actor has announced that he is presently recovering after receiving “great care” in treatment.
In a statement, Corinne Foxx, the actor who won an Oscar, thanked the public for its encouragement and best wishes.
In a message on Instagram, Corinne stated, “We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, encountered a medical problem yesterday.
Fortunately, he is already making progress toward recovery thanks to prompt action and excellent care.
“We are grateful for your prayers and are aware of how loved he is. The family requests discretion at this time. The Foxx Family, with much love.
Foxx hasn’t yet commented on the situation, and his family hasn’t given any additional information on how he wound up in the hospital, but according to TMZ, the incident was a medical emergency.
The news outlet in the US reported that Jamie’s family, some of whom weren’t in town, visited the hospital because his health was so critical. He is now communicating, which is wonderful news, a source told us.
Foxx was most recently photographed by photographers just two days ago while he was filming in Atlanta for his newest movie, Back In Action.
The 55-year-old has watched his career flourish since winning an Oscar in 2004 for his portrayal of blind singer Ray Charles in the film Ray. The Texas-born actor has previously starred in movies including The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Jarhead.
He will reteam with Cameron Diaz for his future movie; she hasn’t acted in a movie since 2014’s Annie. She also collaborated with Foxx on that film, who is credited as being the inspiration for her return to acting.
I’m glad Foxx is recovering from the health crisis earlier this week, I don’t know about you.
