Charlize Theron, who has done her own stunts in a number of action films, questioned Steven Seagal’s ability in martial arts. Seagal is a well-known figure in the world of martial arts.
Charlize Theron has criticized fellow actor Steven Seagal, stating that she does not believe he is as skilled in martial arts as he claims to be and that “he is not very polite to women.”
When promoting her most recent action movie, The Old Guard, on Howard Stern’s radio show, the 44-year-old actress stated that she prepares for her action films by viewing old combat movies. She stated that she has frequently come across one of Seagal’s movies, who has claimed to have a black belt in karate, during her preparation for her action films.
“At night, I’ll go online to watch fighters or watch people fight, and you continuously come across that bizarre Seagal video of him ‘fighting,’ but he actually isn’t, in Japan,” she claimed. “When I say ‘fighting,’ I mean he’s actually in Japan.”
She said, “To put it more succinctly, he is tremendously overweight and belligerent.” Because of his size, it is difficult for him to compete. Check that out; it’s completely ridiculous. He is grabbing people by the face and pushing them. Everything is prepared for it.”
The actress from Mad Max: Fury Road stated, in defense of her criticism of Seagal, 68, “I have no problem talking s— about him because he’s not particularly friendly to women so f— you!”
A representative for Seagal did not provide an instant reaction to the request for a comment that was made by PEOPLE.
Previous investigations have raised concerns about the way in which Seagal treats female characters.
The actor has been accused of sexual harassment as well as other forms of misconduct by a number of women, including Portia de Rossi, Julianna Margulies, Jenny McCarthy, and Lisa Guerrero, who is a contributor to Inside Edition.
In addition, he was accused of rape in 2018 by Regina Simons, who worked as an extra in his film On Deadly Ground back in 1994. According to TheWrap, she stated that the alleged rape took place in 1993 when Seagal brought her to a wrap party for the film at his house in Beverly Hills when she was 18 years old. The party was celebrating the completion of filming on the film.
Dutch model Faviola Dadis has written a statement on Instagram, accusing actor Portia de Rossi of sexually abusing her during an audition in the year 2002. This comes after de Rossi came up with her own charges against the actor.
There is not a single piece of evidence that supports any of the accusations made against Seagal.
