Despite the fact that he and Lisa Marie Presley got divorced in 2002, Nicolas Cage will always have affection for the late performer. The actor allegedly paid tribute to Presley in a statement that was provided by his manager not long after it was announced on January 12 that Presley had passed away at the age of 54 following a cardiac arrest.

“This knowledge is just tragic. Lisa had the finest laugh of anyone I’ve ever met, according to a paragraph in the poignant statement that CNN obtained. She was the brightest star in the sky, and her death has left me speechless.

Cage didn’t stop there, either. The late Benjamin Keough, Presley’s son who committed suicide in the year 2020, was also mentioned by the actor. The message that Cage was attempting to communicate was made much more tragic by this. Given that Benjamin wasn’t quite a teenager when Cage married Presley, it’s reasonable to assume that he has fond memories of him when he was a boy, which makes the rest of his comment all the more terrible. Ben wasn’t even a teenager when Cage wed Presley.

In the second part of his statement to CNN, Nicolas Cage said the following about Lisa Marie Presley’s son: “I find some peace that she is reunited with her son Benjamin.” Everyone was aware of Presley’s love for her one and only kid and their understanding of her grief following his death was evident.

She shared the following statement on Instagram in May 2022: “Navigating through this awful anguish that totally wrecked and broke my heart and my soul into virtually nothing has devoured me whole.” There isn’t much else that captures my time and attention these days besides my other three children. Presley also gave birth to Riley Keough and her identical twin sisters, Vivienne Ann and Finley Aaron Love Lockwood.

Presley claimed in a 2003 interview with ABC News’ Diane Sawyer that she and Cage maintained contact even after their romance ended even though they were no longer together.

She clarified that one of the things that attracted her to Cage was his uniqueness. She continued, “I like when someone shakes things up. “I have no idea why that is. Exactly why did you harm me? I nevertheless find myself pulled to such things. There is no denying that they had a tight friendship despite the circumstances.
