A movie star who won a Golden Globe has died at the age of 97.
The actress died. She was best known for her parts in It Came From Outer Space and Peyton Place.
Claudia Cowan, her daughter, said that her mother died peacefully.
The peaceful death of my dear mother took place at 5:28 this evening. She told Fox News, “I was with her this morning and know she was waiting for me to get home safely to.
“It’s fitting she chose to leave on Easter as it was one of her favorite holidays and now, of course, Easter will have a deeper significance for me and my family.”
Her daughter paid tribute to her on Instagram for her birthday not long before she died.
He wrote in January, “She is golden, she is a diamond, she glows like the moon and shines like the sun.”
“She is still pretty, sweet, and wise, and her age doesn’t change any of those things.”
“To me, she is 97 years young.”
Rush had a long and successful career that lasted more than 70 years. She worked with movies stars like Marlon Brando and Dean Martin.
The famous actress was best known for the melodramas she did in the 1950s.
She started out as an actress on the stage, but it was in the 1953 science fiction horror movie It Came From Outer Space that she got her big break.
She won the prestigious Golden Globe for most promising newcomer – female for this role.
After that, she worked with Frank Sinatra in the movies Robin and the Seven Hoods (1964) and Come Blow Your Horn (1963).
Rush also had a very successful TV career, but Peyton Place is where she is best known for her work.
She played Marsha Russell on the prime-time soap opera for many episodes.

Rush did more than just this soap opera. She played Eudora Weldon on NBC’s Flamingo Road (a different show).
Three times in her life, Rush got married and no longer was married.
Her first marriage was to actor Jeffery Hunter in 1950. The next one was to Warren Cowan in 1959, and the last one was to sculptor Jim Gruzalski in 1970.
Rush had spent the last few years of her life away from the attention of Hollywood.
She posted a picture of herself and her mother on Instagram in February of this year.
Cowan wrote at the time, “Time with my mom is extra special these days.”
“As her time runs out, I’m going to see her as often as I can to show her how much I love and appreciate her.”
“And, so that I know in my heart, neither of us has to worry.”
