His well-known face has been on TV for 75 years. He started out very well when he played Frank Gilroy on A Country Practice in 1981.

Brian died peacefully in an Adelaide nursing home on Monday.

Woman’s Day wrote: “Brian’s wife of almost 70 years, Linda, phoned this morning to relay the news of his passing, saying he died peacefully.”

He would have been 95 years old on May 24.

Brainy won a Silver Logie from TV Week for Best Actor in A Country Practice. In his country, this was one of the best awards an actor could get.

He was in more than 940 episodes of the popular soap opera over the course of 12 years.

Craig Bennett, Girl’s Day’s close friend, told them, “He had a great career, was one of the nicest people, loved his fans, and knew how much they loved him.”

There were Australians of all ages who loved and respected his shows, and his wit and humor were still there at the end.

He had been married to Linda for almost 70 years. She told everyone that he had been in a nursing home for two years fighting dementia.

Brian worked with Jennifer Hennessy for a long time. She said, “It is with great sadness that we remember the life of the beloved Australian actor Brian Wenzel.”

A lot of Australians from all walks of life loved and admired his shows, and he never lost his sense of humor.

“A passionate family man and devoted Carlton supporter leaves an irreplaceable mark on the Australian film and television industry,”

When he was only 17, he got his start in show business with a comedy act.

Bryan’s last role was as a judge in the 2014 crime thriller John Doe: Vigilante.

He spent most of his career as Sergeant Frank Gilroy, but he was also in the popular Australian soap opera Neighbours.
