Following the posting of a cryptic statement to her social media platforms, Kelly Clarkson has received a significant response from followers.
The musician posted an emoji-only message on Twitter that included the red wine, broken heart, and sunshine emojis. She screenshots the tweet and posted it to Instagram in addition to adding the three symbols to the end of her Twitter account.
Kelly’s post caused a fan frenzy among her followers, with many guessing in the comments that her long-awaited new album has finally arrived.
Drop the album, one person wrote, while another added, “The album’s coming!!!”
During an episode of her daytime program The Kelly Clarkson Show on NBC, Kelly had previously used the three emojis to represent her impending album, according to one fan. “She said these are the three emojis that define her forthcoming album on the @kellyclarksonshow a while back… FINALLY, IT IS HERE! TIME FOR A NEW KELLY ERA,” they penned, with another commenter adding: “That’s how she characterized her album! I’m eager to usher in the new Kelly era! “Let’s go!”
In September of last year, Kelly announced that she would be releasing new music. She told Variety that the emotional journey she underwent during her divorce from Brandon Blackstock, with whom she shares two children, River Rose, 8, and Remington Alexander, 6, served as the inspiration for her upcoming songs.
“There were numerous feelings when my ex and I first parted ways. At the time, the 40-year-old added, “That was difficult. “Remember that time we wrote like 25 songs in a week? My producer and I were joking about it yesterday. Some of those are included in the album.
“Most of these were actually written by me nearly two years ago. I then informed my label that I couldn’t discuss this until I had thoroughly processed it, and it has just taken some time to do so. We’ve done a lot of Christmas-related activities over the previous two years due to the fact that I thought, “Oh, that’s happy!'”
In a post to Instagram in January, she appeared to make reference to her divorce while talking about her album. “I’m going to be really honest with you, it took a minute for me to be able to release this album, because I just had to be over it, through it, like all around it,” she said in a message to her audience of supporters. In order to discuss it, I had to go past it.
Before Lance Reddick’s appearance on the show on Thursday, which was taped before his untimely death, the star paid respect to the John Wick actor just days earlier.
