Kate Middleton left Windsor for the first time since her planned surgery on her stomach. A friend of the future queen said she is “on the mend.”

Since she got out of the London Clinic on Monday, January 29, the 42-year-old Princess of Wales has been getting better at the royal residence.

The mom of three stayed at that hospital for almost two weeks after surgery to treat an unknown illness.

Her half-term break is now over, and she is at Sandringham, 127 miles from Windsor, with Prince William, 41, and their three kids, George, 10, Charlotte, 8, and Louis, 5.

A friend who did not want to be named told the Daily Mail that Catherine is getting better.

The woman was excited for a change of scenery. In Norfolk, she will be able to relax while the kids have fun with William.

According to the tabloid, King Charles, who is 75 years old, is also at Sandringham. He just got back from his first cancer treatment earlier this week.

Given their different health problems, it’s not clear if Kate and Charles will see each other.
