Cher, the legendary singer, and Alexander “AE” Edwards, her younger boyfriend, have decided to end their long-diamond romance.

Months after the couple’s romance was formally acknowledged, the 76-year-old Believe pop singer and Edwards, 36, apparently called it quits a few weeks ago.

In November 2022, Cher tweeted, “One part of my life is SO AMAZING,” sending her fans into a frenzy.

Not long after, she clarified the situation by uploading a photo of her new partner along with a heart emoji.

with the remark, “Love doesn’t know math!” Cher acknowledged that she had already introduced Edwards to her family as a whole. She most likely made the comment in reaction to people who questioned the two’s pronounced age disparity (Alexander is 36 years old, while Cher is 76 years old).

They undoubtedly asked inquiries.

Many individuals used the opportunity to berate the unusual pairing, but the couple appeared ready to ignore any haters.

When Edwards’ fans expressed their concern, maybe thinking the politician had ulterior motives, Cher responded, “As we All Know…Despite what I can be certain of, nothing is promised, and I wasn’t born yesterday. You take a chance every time you make a decision. I’ve always indulged in gambling.

Around Christmas, Cher posted a picture of what appeared to be an expensive diamond ring and wrote that she had “no words” for Alexander, who is 40 years her junior. This increased rumors that the couple was engaged.

The fact that Alexander and Cher did not formally confirm or deny whether it was an engagement ring set the rumor mill into overdrive.

The fact that the two worked together on songs for Cher’s upcoming album was disclosed in March. “Some of the songs Alexander gave me, so I’m pretty excited about that,” Cher remarked at the time to E! Online. Because he is a producer and a writer, I’m delighted he handles everything.

Since then, it has come to light that the couple was never formally engaged. According to E! Online, they broke up peacefully a few weeks ago.

After her first marriage to American musician Sonny Bono ended in 1975, Cher famously wed Gregg Allman.

Alexander, vice president of A&R at Dem Jam Recordings, dated Amber Rose for three years before splitting up; the couple has a son together.
