Frontman for the band Raspberries, Eric Carmen, has died at the age of 74.
His wife posted news of his death on his website. He was the singer of “All By Myself.”
Amy Carmen said in a statement, “It is with great sadness that we share the heartbreaking news of Eric’s death.”
“Our kind, loving, and talented Eric died peacefully in his sleep over the weekend.” Knowing that his music had a lasting impact on so many people over many years made him very happy.
“Please give the family space while we grieve our terrible loss.” “Love Is All That Matters…” “Truly and Always,” she ended.
In the 1970s and 1980s, Carmen was the group’s face.
Singer remembers lead singer of the Raspberries
Eric Carmen was praised by singer John Eddie on X, which used to be called Twitter.
“Eric Carmen has died,” the artist wrote.
“I liked The Raspberries a lot. Go All The Way is a great rock ‘n’ roll single, so I bought their first album with the scratch and sniff sticker.
“The Raspberries’ Greatest Hits is one of my favorite albums of all time.” There aren’t many bad songs on this album; all of them are pretty f*g great.
“The Raspberries played live at one of those AM radio station concerts.” The event took place at the Philadelphia Spectrum. Wig or Wiil it was. It cost about 99 cents to get in. Amazing lineup: Slade, The Raspberries, Jim Croce, Lou Reed, and Stevie Wonder!
“That’s the only band I remember from the bill; there may have been others.” Anyway, today is a sad day for my inner child, who is now forty years old. “Eric Carmen, rest in peace, and thanks for the raspberries,” he said.
Leaved behind by his wife
Eric Carmen’s wife Amy told everyone Monday that he had died.
He also has two children from a previous marriage, named Kathryn and Clayton.
