Honey Boo Boo can’t hold back her tears

Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell is reportedly suffering from stage four cancer, according to TMZ. According to the source, Mama June’s reality star daughter Cardwell has adrenal cancer that has migrated to other parts of her body.

Cardwell’s recent appearances on reality TV have been much less frequent than those of the majority of her family. Previous to that, Cardwell featured in 24 episodes of “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo,” the program hosted by her younger sister Alana Thompson, in which she last participated in, according to her IMDb, in 2014. Cardwell recently reactivated her Instagram account following a lengthy hiatus. Cardwell commented on March 28: “Well, I ain’t posted here have a while. Your girl is back.” The mom-of-two updated her followers on her parenting adventures in a new Instagram post that same day, writing, “Sorry for the photo dump that’s going to happen… I love y’all and I hope y’all are having a wonderful week.”

Although Cardwell hasn’t publicly disclosed her personal diagnosis, her articles are now frequently met with supportive comments from her fans.

Thompson, a.k.a. Honey Boo Boo, has issued her family’s first statement to the media.

Through an Instagram story, Alana Thompson has officially announced Anna Cardwell’s diagnosis. Thompson pleaded with the public to have some compassion for her family while sharing a screenshot of the original TMZ article. No matter how well-known someone is, she added, “And this is what I mean when I say you never truly know what they’re going through at home.” over the screenshot. None of Cardwell’s other family members have made any public comments to date. “Yeah, I’m very famous, but normal s*** happens to me and my family, and yall need to grasp that Quickly,” Cardwell said. It would make sense if they required time to come together and issue a statement given how recent this information is.

Just a few days ago, Thompson posted a contentious TikTok video in which she used an unusual accent. The action drew criticism from some who thought she was imitating Black people by speaking in a “accent,” a phrase used to identify such attempts. Thomspon quickly expressed regret. In a subsequent TikTok video, she declared, “No, I wasn’t trying to offend anyone!” (via Daily Mail). People frequently remark on how “ghetto” my speech sounds, which I feel in no way I do. I feel I am my own authentic self, and if you don’t like it, you just don’t have to comment on it.
