The singer calls his mother Carol Bongiovi a “force to be reckoned with” and says she will be “greatly missed.” She died just days before her birthday.

JASON Carol Bongiovi, Bon Jovi’s mother, died. She was 83 years old, just three days before her birthday.

Jon, 62, said some very sad things about Carol after she died on Tuesday at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey.

“Our mother was a force to be reckoned with, her spirit and can-do attitude shaped this family,” Jon told the news.

“She will be greatly missed.”

Carol, who used to have a Playboy bunny, started the fan club for her son’s band.

She joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1959, and that’s where she met John Bongiovi, Sr., the man she would later marry.

They moved their kids to Sayreville, New Jersey, and raised them there.

After some time, they moved to Holmdel, New Jersey, and she lived there until she died.

The funeral for Carol will be private and will be run by Holmdel Funeral Home, according to PEOPLE.

Carol’s husband of 63 years and their three children, Jon, Anthony, and Matthew, will miss her very much.

Jon had said before that his parents gave him “incredible support” when he was a kid and wanted to be a singer.

In November 2020, he told The Big Issue, “Even if you weren’t good at your craft, you could work on it if you thought you were.”
