A newborn child was abandoned in someone’s yard while still attached to the placenta and umbilical cord. The infant was exposed to the sun and would have died if a 9-year-old girl dressed as an angel hadn’t happened to stumble upon her by chance.

While playing outside, Elysa, a 9-year-old Indiana girl, heard odd noises. She went to investigate because she believed one of the pigs had gotten away. She moved carefully as she kept an eye on the tiny pink legs.

Elysa shrieked and hurried home to tell her mother about the “strange” monster. “I didn’t know what it was, but it really frightened me out,” she added.

Heidi Laub, the mother, went to look into it and discovered a baby close to one of the bushes.

The moment she said, “Oh my God, it’s a baby,” I yelled, “What?” Elysia remembered a particular detail.

Elysia said, “I just saw pink legs kicking away.” I could tell it was alive when we discovered what we were up to. I had no cause to doubt my own abilities. I realized we need assistance.

Thankfully, the child was transferred to St. Anthony’s Hospital, where medical professionals discovered that he was fine. The baby, according to them, was just a day old.

The baby’s guardian angel, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, is Elysa.

God provided for me, Elysa stated.

We would have found a dead infant in the yard this afternoon if I hadn’t been there and God hadn’t commanded my brain to force me to go there, the stunning girl claimed. “It would be very different, and much worse.”

The infant was given a second chance at life because to Elysa.
