Tammy Slaton had been absent from social media for the previous month, but on September 27 she returned with a slew of selfies. Fans immediately noticed how much slimmer her face and neck looked as she maintained her miraculous weight reduction journey despite the fact that each selfie had a filter.
One admirer inquired in the comments section if the 37-year-old had any advice for individuals just beginning their own weight loss journeys. Following bariatric surgery, the 1000-pound Sisters actress gave a few dietary recommendations that have helped her maintain her weight loss: “Eat proteins, low carbs, no sugars, no pop, and portion control.”
After her near-death experience at the end of Season 3 that led to her being put in a medically-induced coma, fans are happy to see her continuing to lose weight and maintaining a much healthier lifestyle than she’s used to, and they expressed their delight in the comments section.
Shortly after publishing her most recent selfies, she responded to two comments with two videos, one of which requested that she post a selfie without a filter and the other of which requested that she post a photo sans spectacles. She complied and kindly wished her followers a “good day, babe.”
The films and series of selfies were posted on social media after a one-month hiatus. When she last posted on August 25 and included two images of herself in front of a mirror, it was clear that she had lost weight. A few days earlier (August 22), she published a collection of images showcasing her culinary prowess.
She captioned the photo, saying, “Even though I can’t eat much, that doesn’t mean my family shouldn’t eat well and I’m finally able to show off my cooking skills. Just cool me, Chef TT or Chef TamTam lol.” She might need to bring some of it for us to try at the office, according to her weight reduction doctor, Dr. Eric Smith.
Over the past year, Slaton has undeniably “wisened up” about her health, and she is already noticing the benefits. She told PEOPLE in May that while she still needs an oxygen machine at night, her lungs are strong enough that she had her tracheostomy tube removed and no longer needs it during the day.
A source told The U.S. Sun earlier this month that a fifth season of 1000-Lb Sisters is in the works. The source claims that filming has already begun and episodes are scheduled to premiere sometime in mid-December. Tammy Slaton and TLC have not yet verified that revelation, but it would be fantastic if it were true!
Since Tammy Slaton’s bariatric surgery was successful, many of her followers have been speculating whether she will have skin removal surgery. The upcoming season, which will focus on her skin removal procedure while she maintains her weight loss, is expected to be detailed, according to The U.S. Sun. It was a hard trip, but it was worth it.
Tammy reportedly weighed as high as 717 pounds in the fall of 2021, but she lost approximately 400 pounds over the following two years; this past summer, she was only said to have weighed 340 pounds. She has a ton of extra skin that could be removed if she undergoes surgery as a result of her drastic weight loss.
Tammy Slaton’s near-death experience was depicted in the Season 3 finale, but Season 4—which debuted on January 17, 2023, and finished on March 21, 2023—covered her bariatric surgery, engagement to Caleb Willingham, and subsequent marriage. July saw Caleb’s passing.
