Lisa Marie Presley’s childhood images were recently discovered by Linda Thompson, who dated Elvis Presley from 1972 until 1976.
Thompson, 72, posted images of the late musician as a child on Instagram on Wednesday.
Time slowed down for a moment as she browsed through these priceless Polaroids, she wrote in her description. “Like many of you, I am doing a little bit of spring cleaning and ran across this photo album from back in the day.
Thompson described the first three images in the Instagram carousel as “Little ‘Yisa Marisa’ as I remember her so tenderly. She was a wonderful young girl! Seen here she was six years old and had just lost her two front teeth.”
The third Polaroid image in the collection is titled “Snaggle Puss” and was taken in November 1974. It pays homage to a young Lisa Marie who was then missing her two front teeth.
She wanted me to take some shots of her in my dressing room at the Monovale house because we had such a beautiful relationship for so many years and because she still holds a special place in my heart, Thompson continued.
A fourth image depicts a young Lisa Marie relaxing on top of a boat in Lake Tahoe in 1973 while her head is resting on the shoulders of a woman named Dee.
The sixth image of Lisa Marie shows her standing in pajamas in front of a Christmas tree that same year with Thompson and numerous other women.
Lisa Marie’s daughter Riley Keough stars in the Amazon Prime series Daisy Jones & the Six, which Thompson said: “If you haven’t watched it, you must! It is great!! I don’t know how many of you are watching – or have binge-watched as I did.
Thompson’s caption concluded, “Lisa’s stunning, forceful, powerful presence lives on in her gorgeous and gifted daughter. There are so many subtleties in Riley’s facial expressions that remind me of her beautiful mom.
On January 12, Lisa Marie, 54, passed away. Her mother, the actress and entrepreneur Priscilla Presley, 77, her three daughters Riley, Finley, and Harper Lockwood, both 14, and her grandchild survive her. Benjamin Keough, Lisa Marie’s son, died before her in 2020 when he committed suicide at the age of 27.
After her death, Thompson told PEOPLE that she was “extremely saddened and stunned.” Lisa and I had an intermittent relationship throughout the years, communicating most recently by text, with her very final message to me simply saying, “Love you, Linda.”
The young Lisa Marie, age 9, who had the foresight to contact me from Graceland on the tragic day her father passed away to tell me the news, will always have a special place in my heart, Thompson added.
If there is any comfort to be found now, it’s in my knowledge that Lisa Marie was certain I loved her and her daddy, without reservation and without any agenda, she continued, “In fact, if there is any solace to be found now, it’s in my knowing that Lisa Marie was sure I loved her and her daddy, without reservation and without any agenda.”
