Donald Trump calls US ‘stupid country’ amid controversial case

Donald Trump has made his stance on birthright citizenship clear with recent remarks urging the Supreme Court to reconsider its decision to block his administration’s push to revoke birthright citizenship.

Trump’s administration has sought to change the 14th Amendment, which grants citizenship to those born in the U.S., arguing that it was meant to protect the babies of slaves, not to grant citizenship to children of undocumented immigrants or tourists.

He claimed that the U.S. is “stupid” for offering such citizenship, calling it politically incorrect and harmful to the country.

He also pointed out that this policy was implemented after the Civil War, not to address illegal immigration, but to protect the children of slaves.

The Supreme Court is preparing to debate whether Trump can end birthright citizenship, a topic that has sparked significant controversy.
