Bindi Irwin, the 26-year-old conservationist and daughter of the late Steve Irwin, was hospitalized in Las Vegas for emergency surgery due to a ruptured appendix.

The medical emergency occurred just before the annual Steve Irwin Gala, an event honoring her father’s legacy and supporting wildlife conservation efforts.

Her brother, Robert Irwin, announced the news at the gala, explaining that Bindi had intended to attend despite experiencing significant discomfort.

However, her surgeon advised immediate surgery, leading both Bindi and their mother, Terri Irwin, to miss the event.

This incident follows Bindi’s previous health challenges, including a decade-long struggle with endometriosis. In 2023, she underwent surgery to remove 37 lesions and a chocolate cyst, bringing relief after years of pain and misdiagnoses.
