Alec Baldwin strives to “honor” the heritage of his mother.

Baldwin, 65, shared how much he misses his mother Carol Baldwin in an Instagram post on Friday, one year after she passed away at the age of 92.

Alec wrote in the description of the post that included a picture of his mother Carol, “Hard to believe it’s been a year since the matriarch of the Baldwin family passed.” We miss her, but we keep working to honor her legacy, even though there are still many days when it can make us gasp.

The actor from Rust urged his fans and followers to learn more about the Baldwin family’s nonprofit organization, The Baldwin Fund Carol’s Cardinals, and to share their experiences.

“We’d like for you to join us. Discover how YOU can continue the mission she started by loving others, displaying compassion, and finding a cure. “Read Carol’s Cardinals today and help us spread the word about it.”

Alec’s siblings Daniel, William, Stephen, Elizabeth, and Jane were among Carol’s six children. She also had 25 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Alec remarked, “My mother taught me about second acts,” in a statement from last year. likewise third ones. Alec said the following about his mother when he announced the news of her passing in 2022: “Carol Baldwin raised her children and, when her last was a teenager, went to work in marketing research for a company called Quick Test, operating out of a nearby shopping mall. Breast cancer was discovered in her in 1991. Following her recovery, she collaborated with a number of Long Island-based breast cancer support organizations to start a project with SUNY Stony Brook.

The Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund was then established at the Stony Brook campus in collaboration with Shirley Strum Kenny, the school’s president at the time. A branch was eventually established at SUNY Upstate University. Millions of dollars have been raised for the cause thanks to all the efforts, he said.

Alec said in a statement that was part of the heartfelt Instagram post, “My mother taught me about second acts. likewise third ones. She fought and championed the cause she committed her life to throughout the final 25 years of her life. We are all incredibly proud of what she has accomplished.

Additionally, this week, more than two years after the passing of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, Baldwin finished production on the movie Rust.
