Kelly McGillis made a rare public appearance on Thursday in North Carolina.
The former actress was spotted leaving a church in Hendersonville while wearing an oversized top, baggy leggings, and flip-flops.
The 62-year-old actress also appeared unrecognizably different from how she appeared in great movies like Witness from 1985 and Top Gun from 1986, where she flaunted her legendary figure and good beauty.
The group revealed a larger representation of the Golden Globe winner, implying that McGillis’ new fuller body may be the result of aging.
The Winter People actress, who had essentially quit Hollywood for a tranquil country existence, nevertheless seemed cheerful and in good health.
Upon her graduation from the prestigious Juilliard School in 1983, McGillis made her acting debut in the comedy-drama Reuben, Reuben.

Two years later, she played as an Amish widow alongside Harrison Ford in Peter Weir’s tense drama Witness, which served as her big break.
In the year following Top Gun, she rose to fame.
She played Charlotte “Charlie” Blackwood, a professor and astronomer who develops feelings for Tom Cruise’s Pete “Maverick” Mitchell.
The film’s box office earnings were $356 million despite a $15 million production expenditure.
McGillis played a defense attorney for a rape victim in the 1988 movie The Accused, which starred Jodie Foster and won the Best Actress Oscar for Foster.
McGillis felt compelled to share her story of being raped by two strangers when the movie came out since she had gone through a similar experience to Foster’s character.

During the first two weeks after the incident, I was unable to eat or sleep. McGillis admitted to twitching constantly to People in 1988. I was unable to suppress my uncontrollable breaths.
The author remarked, “After the project was finished, it felt if a monster had been exorcised, but I still had difficulty telling my story in public because I was afraid.
McGillis struggled to find work in television movies and critically panned movies like North after The Accused.
She finally had to deal with her drug addiction and her closeted homosexuality, which had a negative impact on her personal life as well.
But, she and her two daughters discovered that living in the background was nice after moving to Pennsylvania in 2002.

McGillis is now occasionally acting after roles in the drama on Showtime called The L-Word and the vampire movie Stake Land.
The 2020 release of the Top Gun: Maverick sequel is eagerly anticipated by viewers of the original Top Gun.
In this sequel, Cruise reprises his role as the hotshot pilot alongside Val Kilmer, Jon Hamm, Jennifer Connelly, and Miles Teller.
