A 117-year-old woman has stunned scientists with her extraordinary longevity, and researchers believe her DNA and daily habits could hold the key to a longer, healthier life.

The woman, whose identity is being kept private at her family’s request, lived independently until well into her 110s and remained mentally sharp with no major chronic illnesses.

Scientists who studied her lifestyle and genetic makeup say she may offer critical insights into how humans can live longer while maintaining good health.
