The Duchess of Alba is one of those people who has a lavish and intriguing life that I think everyone would like to experience for at least a few days. She is extremely wealthy and has an interesting life.
The Duchess of Alba, Cayetana Fitz-James, is well-known for leading a luxury lifestyle, speaking out when necessary and refusing to remain silent, getting additional plastic surgery, and wed considerably younger men, but these aren’t the only traits that actually define her.
Her mother’s early death from TB made for a difficult upbringing.
When Cayetana’s mother died when she was just 8 years old, her father was able to support her since they had a good relationship. The 1930s were an unusually turbulent decade in Spanish history. For instance, her father had to evacuate to France when the Spanish Royal Family was forced to leave Spain in 1931. In the same year that the monarchy was toppled, Spain established a democratic republic.
She visited France with her father, but she never felt at home there. When they moved to London, where she received an excellent education and picked up the languages of Italian, German, French, and English, she was overjoyed. She also formed many important relationships in London, which helped her open many doors in life. Notably, she also socialized with Queen Elizabeth II.

As they got to know one another better, Cayetana and Princess Margaret shared a reputation for rebelling and occasionally breaking the law. When Cayetana was 21 years old, she wed Pedro Luis Martnez de Irujo y Artacoz, a guy from a prosperous Spanish family. International media outlets covered the expensive wedding. According to reports, the wedding in 2015 cost the equivalent of $10,000,000. It was unquestionably a fairy tale wedding.
The Dukes of Alba and their first spouse
The couple encountered several well-known individuals on their six-month honeymoon in Hollywood, including Bing Crosby, Walt Disney, Charlie Chaplin, Marlene Dietrich, and Marilyn Monroe. After returning to Spain, Cayetana maintained contact with American celebrities; Jacqueline Kennedy and Audrey Hepburn even paid her a visit.
The Duchess Cayetana of Alba and Jacqueline Kennedy went to a Red Cross Foundation fundraiser in Seville’s “Casa de Pilatos” in 1966.
Cayeta and her first husband had six children together, but he died at an early age of 53. After a while, she wed Jess Aguirre y Ortiz de Zarate, who was 11 years her junior and not particularly popular. Despite Jess’s reputation as a toyboy and a gold-digger, Cayetana claimed that the years she shared with him were the best of her life.
The Duchess of Alba and Jesus Aguirre met in 1978.
Cayeta kept leading a unique life; she participated in a variety of events and activities, avoided trying to fit in for psychological comfort, and made the most of every chance to have fun.
Tragically, she lost her second husband in 2001, and everyone expected she would remain a widow for the rest of her days. She ultimately chose to wed Alfonso Diez Carabantes, a government employee, but she had other plans. Even her children advised her to change her mind, but she was determined to wed her new partner.
Alfonso was 25 years Cayetana’s junior, and the Spanish King Juan Carlos publicly called him a gold-digger. Although the House of Alba said in 2008 that there would be no wedding and rather a friendship-based relationship, a wedding did occur in 2011.
Cayetana Fitz-James-Stuart and Alfonso Diez left the Palace de las Duenas, where they were married, on October 5, 2011, and headed in the direction of the cameras.
Prior to the wedding, Cayetana made sure her children received their inheritance in full, and Alfonso signed a paper pledging not to ask for any money from the duchess’s wealth.
Even though Cayetana occasionally found it difficult to keep up with her much younger husband, the couple’s marriage seems to have been happy. Three years later, at the age of 88, she passed away. Pneumonia was the cause of her death.
Cayetana was highly renowned for both her opulent lifestyle and her cosmetic surgery. Even though she wasn’t concerned by her white hair, she decided to put off aging and enlisted an esthetician’s assistance. She had received criticism for her decisions from a lot of people, but she decided to make the right decision for herself.
Cayetana preferred to ignore the allegations about her and denied having undergone cosmetic surgery, even though it was obvious to everyone that she had done so to make herself look younger.
