The singer’s wife Lucie Zolcerva-Grimm informed fans of her condition after spending more than a week in the hospital, “We don’t know what’s wrong.”
With an undetermined illness, Michael Grimm has been in the hospital for more than a week.
According to the America’s Got Talent winner’s wife Lucie Zolcerva-Grimm, who posted about it on his Instagram on Tuesday, the singer-guitarist was “sedated” and on a ventilator in the ICU.
She sobbed as she remarked, “We’re in a position,” adding that the health scare had “been an emotional ride.” We’re kind of in a position, but I know how much you all adore Michael, so please understand that I’m trying to respect his privacy and honor his wish not to share anything.
Lucie said, “Michael’s health deteriorated over Memorial Day weekend, and I had to take him to the hospital.” “You may have noticed that he was struggling with his health a lot, lacking energy, and not being able to fulfill shows,” she remarked.
She said that no doctor could diagnose the singer’s ailment.
She recalled, “He was looking sicker and sicker; he could hardly walk; he couldn’t elevate his head; he couldn’t answer straight away when I would ask him things; he would be terribly irritable.”
He was sent to the hospital’s emergency room, according to Lucie, but it was determined that he did not have a stroke. She said that while they were there, “toxins” from the illness were making their way to her husband’s brain and that he “started talking gibberish,” adding that “all of a sudden, physical tremors were setting in and his blood pressure was skyrocketing.”
Michael, the Mississippi blues singer who won season five of America’s Got Talent, was finally admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) and has spent the entire week there.
Lucie revealed that she has been mentally and physically exhausted as a result of the week-long medical issue. “They had to sedate him pretty heavily and put him on a ventilator for the safety of his health so he wouldn’t flatline,” she said.
The good news is that the ventilator was finally removed today, and he is now breathing on his own, so he is doing well, she said. “However, throughout the preceding week, his body had been under a lot of strain. In order to prevent him from collapsing or convulsing as a result of blood pressure variations, he is kept anesthetized.
According to Lucie, who informed followers that they are taking each day as it comes and that her main priority is to simply stay by his side and make sure he keeps getting better, doctors are still unaware of the precise nature of Michael’s condition.
She complimented the medical staff for caring for the performer while he “remains unconscious” and forewarned the audience that he would require a lot of time to heal after he awoke.
Michael needs to become conscious again, which he hasn’t yet done. He has been in bed for more than a week and will now require physical therapy, she continued. “He has lost his voice and has to have his vocal cords repaired. He also needs to get all of his organs back to normal and functioning, and he needs to mentally heal from this and regain his health. As a result, it can take some time.
