The buzz wasn’t about Musk’s policy discussion but rather his young son, X, who became the unexpected highlight of the White House event. As Musk, at 53, talked about a new executive order aimed at reducing the federal workforce, it was X, the young Musk, who captured everyone’s attention with his antics, making quite the impression.
Introducing X – A ‘High IQ’ Kid
Before the discussions began, President Trump proudly introduced Musk’s young boy. “This is X, and he’s a great guy. High IQ. High-IQ individual,” he told the guests, his words resonating in the Oval Office. X, however, was more interested in a classic childhood pastime, completely engrossed in his little adventure.
Digging around like any curious kid, X took his findings and deposited them on none other than the iconic Resolute Desk, a piece of historical furniture that’s housed leaders of significant stature. Trump, observing this from his position at the desk, was noticeably perturbed.

The lighthearted antics turned a bit serious as X seemed to have a quick exchange with the 47th President of the United States. Trump turned away, seemingly upset with the young Musk, who comes from a big family of 11 siblings.
Though the specifics of what X whispered to Trump are not known, it hasn’t stopped people online from guessing. People across platforms like Twitter and TikTok have become amateur detectives, hypothesizing what might have transpired during the encounter.
Some online users suggest X might have hinted at, “You’re not the president…you need to go away…,” leaving many speculating whether the young boy would be welcomed in such august surroundings again.
X Sparks Laughter and Debate
Nonetheless, there were many who found amusement in seeing the little one commandeer Musk’s press briefing in such an unexpected manner.
One such reaction was a humorous tweet: “OK I’m all about ‘calling out corruption’, but Elon Musk’s Son wiping his boogers on the Oval Office desk while Trump gives him the side-eye, and then the little one tells Trump to ‘shut up’. It’s just too much hilarity!”
Another spectator stated, “This may be the greatest video of all time! X stands up to Trump and leaves a booger on the desk.”
Was It Really Trump He Was Talking To?
There were others, however, applying a dose of reality, suggesting that the seemingly significant exchange wasn’t directed at Trump.
“He wasn’t even looking at Trump, he was looking at the reporters. Not once did the kid look at Trump and tell him that. It’s quite a misunderstanding,” pointed out a rational online voice.
Some added, “Hilarious, but X is clearly not addressing Trump. Karoline Leavitt, the White House press secretary, was actually seated in that direction,” offering a more tempered take on the viral sensation.
Following this, X continued to mimic his father’s gestures until Musk had no choice but to hoist him up onto his shoulders.
“Apologies for this,” Musk remarked with a chuckle. “Otherwise, I might enjoy this a lot more, but he’s poking his fingers in my ears and whatnot.”
