The former Manchester United player loves dogs a lot and posts pictures of his walks on Instagram.
However, Keane used the social media app to share the sad news of Jet’s death through a series of snaps.
“Thanks Jet for being so pretty and loyal to our family,” he wrote. We’ll miss you.
In an episode of The Overlap, Keane talked about how much he loves his pets and how worried he is about their health.
“You have a routine and you need to take care of them,” he said. Walk them. Before I came here this morning, I went outside.
“Your dogs do the same things every day. I have always had dogs. When I was a kid in Ireland, we always had dogs in the house.
“It makes you feel safe. It’s a good way to work out. I love them so much. I have two dogs.
“But mine are getting a bit old now and a bit frail and that’s always the worry that something will happen to them.”
Arsenal star Ian Wright also said he likes cats.
Wright said, “Cats are cool.” I love them. I’m really into them now.”
Keane replied, “I’m not against cats.” I just like dogs better. “I’m not against cats.”
