According to recent reports, the 89-year-old actress was hurt after falling at her Swiss home. According to People, Loren fell on September 24 while using one of her home’s bathrooms.

According to Loren’s medical staff, the fall caused her to fracture her hip and femur among other bones. Loren was taken to a nearby hospital and had surgery.

According to a statement posted to one of her social media profiles, Ms. Loren suffered hip fractures as a result of a fall at her Geneva home today. She will now have to observe a brief period of recovery and pursue a route to rehabilitation after having surgery that went well.
