Prayers are needed for “Victor Newman”

Eric Braeden, who has portrayed Victor Newman on “The Young and the Restless” for more than four decades, said on Friday that he is undergoing treatment for cancer.

“I’m feeling a bit under the weather, but it’s not really that bad. “I work out, but reduced, in a reduced way,” Braeden, who is 82 years old, disclosed in a video that was posted on Facebook for 13 minutes.

According to Braeden, an examination of his bladder by a urologist revealed the presence of some “high-grade” malignant cells. While he was recovering from knee surgery, he disclosed that he had been experiencing problems with his prostate.

The performer, who has won an Emmy for his work, has also acted in “Titanic,” playing the role of John Jacob Astor IV, and in the 2018 heist thriller “Den of Thieves.” He has stated that he has been able to continue performing on “Y&R” despite taking immunotherapy treatments for a period of six weeks.

“I’m happy to be able to go to work,” he admitted. “I’m glad to be able to go to work.” “I take pleasure in that. It causes me to lose focus. Acting is such a passion of mine. It brings me great joy to know that I am able to entertain others.

He made a solemn commitment that he “will lick this.”

“This jerk isn’t going to be able to take me down. He continued by saying, “I’m going to get it.” It won’t be long before I’m back to my old self.

During a recent appearance on CNN’s “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?”, Braeden made headlines when he criticized actress Eva Longoria for making “derogatory remarks” about her time spent on “The Young and the Restless.” Braeden made these comments while he was being interviewed.

“You just weren’t capable of withstanding the demands of this medium due to your lack of talent!” A tweet by Braeden from the previous month mentioned Longoria, who is now 48 years old and was a star on the soap opera from 2001 to 2003 before appearing on “Desperate Housewives.”
