Story that Will Warm Your Heart: Honor Your Parents As They Age

An 80-year-old man was sitting on the sofa in his living room with his 45-year-old, highly educated son. Unexpectedly, a bird arrived on their window.

The Father questioned his Son, “What is this?” The Son responded, “It’s a crow.” After a short while, the Father again questioned his Son, “What is this?” The Son declared, “Father, I just told you “It’s a crow. The elderly father asked his Son, “What is this?” a third time after a brief interval. There was a tinge of irritation in the Son’s tone when he rebuked his Father at this point. It’s a crow, crow, crow. After a short while, the Father asked his Son, “What is this?” a fourth time.

This time, the Son screamed at his Father, “Why do you keep asking me the same question when I’ve told you so many times ‘IT IS A CROW’?” Are you unable to understand this?

A little while later, the father emerged from his room carrying an old, scruffy journal that he had kept ever since his son was born. He turned the page and asked his Son to read it. When the son read the diary, he found the following entries:

A crow was perched on the window today as my three-year-old son and I were sitting on the couch. My son enquired about it 23 times, and each time I said that it was a crow. I gave him a soft embrace every time he repeated the same question to me 23 times. I didn’t feel irritated at all, but rather love for my vulnerable child.

When the young child enquired, “What is this?” The father responded without flinching 23 times. The son, however, felt anxious and irritated when the father asked his kid the same question today merely four times.

So…

When your parents get older, don’t hate them or regard them like a burden; instead, be kind and respectful to them. Be considerate to your parents. Start saying this aloud today: “I want to see my parents happy for the rest of their lives. From the time I was a tiny child, they have taken care of me. They’ve always showered me in their unwavering love.

They crossed all the mountains and valleys without feeling the heat or the storm to make me a person fit for today’s society. You should pray to God, “I will serve my elderly parents in the BEST way.” I will always be kind and kind to my wonderful parents, regardless of what they do.

We value your time spent reading this.

I hope YOU are telling all of your friends about this.
