Prayers are needed for Michael J. Fox

Parkinson’s patient Michael J. Fox claimed that the previous year had been a “struggle” because of his numerous broken bones.

The Hollywood celebrity also discussed how the death of his mother affected him, but he insists that he is still positive.

The 61-year-old actor from Back to the Future, who was diagnosed with the condition in 1991, has since raised funds and awareness for the investigation of the illness.

In a recent interview with People magazine, Fox discussed how his health problems “worsened” over the past year and how his recovery is progressing.

“I cracked my cheek, then my hand, then my shoulder, had a replacement shoulder put in, shattered my (right) arm, then I broke my elbow,” he said to the American source.

He continued, “I’m 61 years old, and I’m feeling it a little bit more.”

Parkinson’s disease, according to the NHS website, is a condition in which some parts of the brain gradually degrade over a protracted period of time.

The three main symptoms of the condition are tremors, slow mobility, and tight and unflexible muscles. The uncontrollable shaking of particular bodily parts is referred to as tremors.

The illness affects Fox’s movement, but many people who know him don’t think this necessarily indicates that the illness is progressing more swiftly.

The actor admitted, “I was never really a gloomy man, but I was fairly unpleasant and short with people. The series of illnesses had changed my normally optimistic outlook.”

I make an effort to avert it from beginning. I never lose sight of my coworkers’ assistants.

And I often tell them, “Imagine I said ‘please’ at the start of anything I say and ‘thank you’ at the end. Just pause for a second to acknowledge that, if I were more genuine, I might have said it, for which I apologise.

The former actor claimed that he is now “coming through” as the last of his wounds are healing after quitting acting in 2020.

I’m just starting to walk steadily again. I enjoy taking a lone stroll. It is. It’s incredible,” he added.

His objective at this point is to prevent falling over using a walker, wheelchair, cane, or “a man with a belt around my waist hanging onto it.”

He achieved this goal earlier this month when he appeared on stage with his Back to the Future co-star Christopher Lloyd, 84, at New York Comic-Con, in front of a cheering audience of fans.

Fox also referred to the late Phyllis Fox, who passed away in September at the age of 92.

He described her as “wonderful” and stated that he now appreciated her strength in raising Fox and his four siblings while his father, William, was serving in the Canadian military.

He continued, “After this trying time, I’m happy. Although difficult, I’m moving on.

“I say it because I believe that everybody may find happiness to some extent regardless of their circumstances,”

The former actor then wed actress Tracy Pollan; the couple went on to have four children together. He has stated that although they had to learn to adapt their marriage to fit his sickness, they always “assumed the best” about one another.

The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, which Fox founded in 2000, has raised more than $1.5 billion for research funding, according to People magazine.

He will receive the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award, an honorary Oscar honoring outstanding charitable achievements, at the Governors Awards on November 19.

He is collaborating with Apple+ on a documentary that, in his words, will look at him and his “different viewpoints on my life” and be released the following year.
