Pay Attention to the Color of Your Stove Flames

Pay Attention to the Color of Your Stove Flames

  • If the flame is blue, everything is functioning properly. This indicates that the gas is being mixed correctly, and the flame’s temperature is around 1500-1700 degrees Celsius.
  • If the flame is red or orange, it means that the gas is mixed with a higher dose of oxygen, resulting in a lower flame temperature of approximately 900-1200 degrees Celsius.

This also leads to an increase in gas consumption.

The lack of oxygen in the room can change the flame’s color. Insufficient oxygen can cause incomplete combustion of butane, producing a toxic gas called carbon monoxide, which appears as an orange or yellow flame.

Therefore, it is essential to always open the doors and windows of the room where you are cooking to ensure an adequate supply of oxygen.
