The iconic actress Shelley Duvall has died at the age of 75, according to her partner.

It was Shelley’s partner Dan Gilroy who told The Hollywood Reporter that she died in her sleep at home in Texas from complications from her diabetes.

“My dear, sweet, wonderful, life partner, and best friend left us,” Gilroy revealed.

“She has been in too much pain lately; now she’s free.” Hey, pretty Shelley, get away.

The actress, who was known for her roles in movies like “The Shining,” “Popeye,” and “Nashville,” is getting a lot of love on social media.

In honor of Shelley Duvall, actress Riley Keough posted a picture of the late star on her Instagram Story with the words “legend.”

With a broken heart emoji, actress Rachel Zegler also posted a picture of Shelley on her Story.

A big fan of Shelley Duvall speaks out
In the past few years, Sarah Lukowski, a fan of Shelley Duvall, has gone viral several times for running the online Shelley Duvall Archive and becoming friends with the actress.

In the years after Shelley, Sarah would write on social media about her visits to the actress at her home in Texas.

When people heard that Shelley had died, they were worried about Sarah in her most recent posts on X, but the fan has since spoken out on her own account.

“I read about Shelley Duvall in the news. Sarah wrote, “I’m doing fine. Here’s a picture of us together.”

Over the past few months, Shelley’s health has been bad, and I went to see her a lot.

“I’ll always be grateful for the memories I created with her and that I was able to give her comfort and companionship.”

In 2016, Shelley Duvall went on Dr. Phil and talked about having a mental illness.

It was reported that she was “very sick” and “needed help.”

This star was even taken to a facility by Dr. Phil after she told him he wouldn’t let doctors “murder her.”

“Shelley Duvall, legendary character actor, and The Shining’s extraordinary Wendy Torrance has died at the age of 75,” Kubrick told X.

“Shelley had a long and varied career.

There were rumors that Shelley was mistreated on set, but she always talked positively about her time filming The Shining, saying she “wouldn’t trade it for anything” and that “working with loveable Stanley was a fascinating learning experience.”

“Our thoughts are with Shelley’s friends and family.”
