Jeffrey Banks, a fashion designer, told everyone that the actor and model had died.

Women’s Wear Daily says Jeffrey said Renauld died last week in Manhattan, New York, while she was in hospice care.

He did not say anything else about his death, not even what caused it.

He became well-known in the 1970s.

The first Black model to be on the cover of GQ was in 1957. He was the second to do so in 1979.

He was in ads for some of the most famous fashion brands and magazines.

Renauld did work for brands like Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, and Bill Blass.

In 1982, he was on the cover of Playboy.

He began acting in 1986 and was in a few episodes of Guiding Light.

It was him who played William Reynolds on the daytime show.

Besides that, he was in a number of other TV shows and movies.

The last time Renauld was seen on screen was in the 2017 horror movie Central Park.

TMZ says Jeffrey shared a touching tribute to Renauld of him.

It was said that he was “the perfect gentleman and a great ambassador for my brand.”

‘When I first met him, my mother said right away that he was my ‘older brother.’ “I only wished that were true,” he said.

Fans posted condolences on Jeffrey’s Instagram account with a picture of Renauld and asked for words of comfort.

“I am deeply saddened and shocked by the news of Renauld White’s death,” “May he rest in peace in heaven,” one fan said.

“A beautiful person inside and out, as well as charming, very good-looking, and sexy. He was wonderful. He died, and my thoughts are with his family, friends, and all the people who loved him.

“The world’s supermodel.” “Fly high, Mr. Renauld White,” said a second fan on X, which used to be Twitter.

LEGACY OF RENAULD
Renauld did more than just work as a model and actor. He was also an activist.

He often spoke out against the lack of diversity in the fashion industry during his career.

He told an interviewer in 2011 that he asked Wilhelmina agents to hire more people of color for modeling jobs.

“I made plans to make things better. That’s what he told WWD: “I really confronted the establishment about why there were not more Black male images.”

“At first, I thought my approach would get me jail time and get me beat up.” But then they saw that they were wrong, they were behind the times and society, and they had to listen to me.

By modeling for big names in the fashion world, he helped make the runways more diverse.

He kept working as a model well into his old age. In 2023, he came out of retirement to be in an ad campaign for Dolce & Gabbana.
